I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but I'm currently taking a COC coding course through AAPC. I'm on the longest chapter of my life! It had 85 pages and 13 quizzes. I'm taken forever to get through this chapter. I finally finished reading it last weekend and this weekend, I was going to do the quizzes. I took three of those quizzes and then a nap! During that nap, I was completely convinced that I was sick. When I woke up, hubby had lunch ready. I convinced myself that I wasn't going to get on the treadmill. I was going to lay on the couch and just turn back into a zombie. At some point, I realized that I wasn't even really showing any symptoms yet, but I had already convinced myself I was going to die from some strange illness. I decided that I needed to get off my butt and get on the treadmill. Maybe I am getting sick, but maybe I'm not. If I am, I'll end up taking a break from the treadmill, so I needed to just get on there now while I still could.
I picked a nice easy flat one and decided to just do 2MPH. There would be no sprinting or pushing it. It was going to be 2MPH no matter what! After about three minutes, I decided it was a horrible idea to be walking. My left hip and lower left back hurt and it wasn't even far into the walk. I was tired and I did not want to be up there. I thought about getting off of the dang machine so many times. Once I got to the five minute mark, I had convinced myself that I had gone that far so I needed to just suck it up and finish.
This walk was on a beach, but we had Josh Gates Expedition Unknown on the TV so I watched that more than the screen. On the intro screen, this walk shows that it was supposed to have a little elevation, but it didn't have any. It didn't even have the elevation marker thing on the second screen. I usually stay on the second screen because it shows the elapsed time, the incline, the speed and the elevation grid. The first screen can be customized to show the current speed, the average speed and something else with speed, the calories burned, some heart rate stuff, time elapsed, time left, average MPH I think or something else, and how far I've gone or how far I have left. I usually set it to how far I've gone and how much time I have left and then just leave the others with whatever is default.
Once I hit the 15 minute mark, it wasn't so bad. That lasted for about five minutes and then I started my normal 10 minute countdown. Less than 10 minutes, less than nine minutes, less than 8-1/2 minutes, less than 7 minutes, less than 6 minutes 45 seconds! My left hip was killing me, but my leg didn't go dead. I'm so glad that doesn't seem to happen after going to the chiropractor. I really need to go back and see if he can do anything about this left hip thing.
Anyway, I finished the walk. I never got my heart rate over 140 and it got down to under 120 after two minutes on the cool down, so I bailed on the last minute of the cool down and got off the machine after two minutes. I'm glad I did it, but I hated doing it. Looks like the last time I did this, I forgot the heart rate monitor. Oopsy. It also looks like I was doing speed drills on that one. I wish I had been blogging for those to know what my plan was. My plan for this was to just go slow and make it through the 30 minutes. My time on the previous one was way better!
I had a bunch of Pokemon Go egg hatchers going. The first one hatched a Solrock, second was a Ponyta, the third was a party hat Wurmple, the fourth was a Cherubi, the fifth was a Panpour, and the sixth was a green Burmy. I finally got a decent Burmy. I think I'll evolve this one! Alright, time to see if I can bang out another quiz from my chapter!
