iFit 1 Mile Challenge Budapest, Hungary

Today has been a busy day! We went out to breakfast and then did some grocery shopping. Unfortunately, Bi-Mart doesn't open until 10:00 so we came home and I took a couple quizzes for my COC course. Then, we went to Bi-Mart for more shopping since Ray's didn't have the hair gel I use and there is no way I'm taking any risks with new products right now. I'm finally able to get myself on the treadmill on a regular basis. Nothing can get in the way of this progress! So we came home and I did dishes and some editing work. I did more quizzes and some laundry. Hubby started dinner and I finished it. I took a total of 10 quizzes today! I wanted to take the chapter test today too, but that's just not going to happen. I feel kinda of icky still. I think I mentioned it yesterday. Oh, I also took a 15 minute nap today. Busy busy day.

At some point today, I decided that I wasn't going to walk, but then I decided that I wasn't going to let this icky feeling stop me from walking. I'm sure at some point this week, I'll be home sick, but for now, I'm walking! I decided to do this nice easy walk with very little elevation. It was actually flat for the first 3/4 or more, but then there was a little downhill and a little uphill and a little downhill. The plan was to just do 2MPH and call it good, but at some point, I realized that I wasn't sitting there staring at the clock. I decided to speed it up a bit since I felt good. I kept bumping it up every so often. Towards the end I decided to do a quick increase to get me to 3MPH for the last 30 seconds.

This is the first walk where I had my heart rate monitor on for both attempts at this! I took longer on this one than I did on the last one, but I wasn't going for any records. The first time I did this walk, it was the last week of my first run through of the iFit 1 Mile Challenge. By then, I was trying to do my fastest mile when I had these flatter walks. I don't remember what my original record was. I don't really feel like looking either. I feel good about how this one went. My lower back didn't hurt as bad as it did yesterday and my shins and calves were okay. I wasn't dying at the end of this one and honestly didn't really do much of my count down stuff. For some reason, getting to the halfway point was the hardest part and then after that I wasn't really paying attention. Lately, the last minute and a half has been less than 90 days, less than 80 seconds, less than 75 seconds, etc, but today, I really didn't even do the countdown until I got to 20 seconds. Maybe it was because we were watching football or maybe it was because I was focused on getting my speed up. I'm not sure.

I'm glad I got on the treadmill today! Since the 1st of the year, I've only missed one day. That was January 3rd. I'm not sure why I skipped that day. Maybe it was because of the wound on my inner thigh. Hmmm. Well, that wound seems to have healed by now. I really hope that I have the motivation to walk every day after work this week. It's going to be rough since there will be some longer commutes due to the snow. I really hope this snow does not get in the way of progress. I have got to drop some weight!

I only hatched one Pokemon Go egg today and it was a Turtwig. Ugh.
