What I did and why
Today was Day 33 of Les Mills Combat! I'm still amazing that I've made it 33 days on this workout plan. Day 33 of the Warrior plan was Extreme Cardio Fighter!
Extreme Cardio Fighter
This was a 60 minute program. Well.........not really, but they call it 60 minutes. It's closer to 54. It's kind of like calling a container of ice cream a half gallon, but it's really not a half gallon anymore. I wonder if Combat Live 60 is actually 60 minutes! You can read a play by play of the workout on my first review of Extreme Cardio Fighter on it from Day 15 of Les Mils Ccombat.
After my rest day yesterday, I was all pumped up and ready to go! The beginning of the DVD felt sooooooooooo slow to me! I kept getting annoyed that there were silly segments of bouncing instead of letting me just kick like crazy! By the end of the workout, I was pretty whipped though. Maybe in my last week, I'll try amping it up a bit and just go all out instead of doing them slow like they do in certain spots.
This workout is pretty intense, but I'm getting better at it. I'm keeping up except for the stinking upper cut and scissor legs section. I just can't scissor leg as fast as they can! I'm actually doing scissor legs though! In the beginning I did this weird modified thing that was so not scissor legs! One day, I was in the middle of the workout and realized that I was doing scissor legs for real!
After 33 days, I'm still not bored with the workouts. I haven't managed to memorize any of them either. I know certain sections, but that's about it. From this workout, I mainly remember the side kick front kick back kick combo section that Regan helps with. I love Regan, but I'm not a fan of this section. It's rather boring since it's so repetitive. It really works my legs though.
I did the jump kicks today! I'm not sure why I don't feel like doing them some days, but other days I want to jump kick like there's no tomorrow! I think at this point, the only modification that I did was not bouncing while we were doing the knee strikes. I wonder how many calories I could burn if I could do the bouncy thing during knee strikes!

The last time I did this DVD, I broke a record for the number of vigorous minutes in a day. The time before that I broke a record too. Well, third time is a charm, and I broke the record again! I got up to 38 minutes of vigorous activity! I'm going to see if I can hit 40 the next time I do the workout! The first time I did this workout, I had 23 minutes of vigorous activity and only 652 calories burned! I totally rocked it today!
