Review of 21 Day Fix Extreme Day 21: Yoga Fix Extreme - I finished it!

Day 21: Yoga Fix Extreme

Today was day 21 of 21 Day Fix Extreme. That meant that it was Yoga Fix Extreme! I love Yoga, but this Yoga is hard for me. I still enjoy the workout and I feel like I get an amazing stretch from it, but I have to modify more than the modifier and it takes me a bit to move from pose to pose. The balance stuff is pretty much torture, but I'm getting better. Fortunately, the balance stuff only lasts about three minutes!

I was getting pretty bummed about my inability to do crow. I can't take one foot of the floor. I just sort of lean into my arms which stretches out my inner thighs for some reason. So then today, I saw a Facebook post from Roni's Weigh. So she posted a pic of her doing Crow and said that it was the first time she had done and it only lasted a second. That made me feel better! She's been at this fitness gig a lot longer than me and she's much better at Yoga than me and she just did Crow successfully this week. It's a hard pose and I'm not okay with the fact that I can't do it and probably won't be able to for awhile. I'm still trying to do a successful push up, I can't expect to be able to do Crow. I'm going to do what I can and I'll progress as fast as I do and that's just going to be good enough!

After the workout, we went for a walk along the river. For some reason, I was completely exhausted! I nearly fell asleep on the drive home. Not really sure what's up with that, but hopefully it won't last long.

I'm not completely done with 21 Day Fix Extreme just yet. I still have to do the free workout and the 10 minute ab workout. I'll do one of them tomorrow or maybe even both of them. I haven't quite decided yet. Once I get those done, I'll write up a summary post about all of the workouts like I've done with all of the other programs except for Cize. I really need to write that. I just took too long to do it so I don't really remember much about the workouts anymore. I know they're all about dancing and I know which ones were easier than the others, but I was thinking of going outside of my comfort zone and doing a video with me doing Cize it up for each of them. I might not be brave enough to post it though. I did try it once, but wasn't able to figure out where to put the camera. Okay, I'm rambling now. I think I'm going to go foam roll now. I like the roll on Yoga days.

Polar M400 Screen Shots

Here are the screen shots. Looks like the heart rate monitor didn't like some of the poses. Oh well. I give up on that. I like that fat burn on there.

If you decide you want to try the program out, be sure to buy it from a coach so you get the free DVD that you can't get through other sources. If you don't have a coach, you can sign up with me.

  1. Good job finishing! I see you are doing a mini-round of Cize. What will you do after?

  2. Thanks! I felt pretty accomplished when I made it through this thing. After my mini-round of Cize, I think I'm doing Hammer and Chisel. It releases on Tuesday. I'm super excited. It's like Body Beast mixed with 21 Day Fix somehow. Sagi from Body Beast and Autumn from 21 Day Fix have joined forces for this creation. I'm excited and scared at the same time!

    1. I'm hoping that it's not too hard. I got through Body Beast and 21 Day Fix Extreme so I'm optimistic I can do Hammer and Chisel. We'll find out soon! There are two of the workouts on Beachbody On Demand, but I don't have On Demand so I can't try them out. I'll let you know how it goes!

    2. You definitely can do it, especially since you're on a roll!
