Review of Beachbody Les Mills Combat Day 30

What I did and why

Today was Day 30 of Les Mills Combat. I'm doing the Warrior program so I got to do Extreme Cardio Fighter! It's the 60 minute (really 54) program. It's all combat except for the push ups and crunches at the end. I'm halfway down with the program. When hubby gets home, we're doing pictures and measurements! Woot Woot!

Extreme Cardio Fighter

There are aspects about this workout that I really like and aspects that I don't really like. This week is my HIIT workout free week. I don't have to do Power HIIT or Shock Plyo. It's a very exciting week for me. I hit my 30 days and I don't have to do HIIT! However, they put push ups and crunches at the end of this workout! I do have to admit that I did much better with them though! For the first set of push ups, I did them on my knees, but I did them with my knees far back. So imagine a real push up position and then I just dropped my knees where they were. I normally do more of a table yoga pose (I just learned that the other day) and then push up from there. That has always been difficult even with very little of my weight getting pushed up. I did real "girl" push ups today though! Woot Woot! The second set, I brought my knees in a little closer though because my arms felt like they were going to let my face hit the floor. Oh Oh Oh! That was the other exciting part. My boobs did hit the floor! I normally don't go down that low because I don't want to face plant.

I really felt my abs working in this workout. I normally really put effort into the leg part of the knee strikes, but my arms kinda fall short of perfect form. Today, I really tried to focus on putting my arms up all the way and really pulling them down. My abs got a good workout today since this workout is so crazy on the knee strikes.

I did the jump kicks today for the front kicks. Maybe tomorrow I'll try those jump side kicks in Combat 45. Those seem a lot more scary though. I feel like I could injure more stuff with those. I kept up with most of the stuff in this workout, but those scissor legs and cross jacks get me every time. I'm still doing them pretty much correctly, but I can't keep the speed up. Tomorrow is Combat 45 and then I get a Rest Day! I love Thursday Rest Days!

BodyMedia Screen Shots

I'm not really sure why this one looks so drastically different than my first time doing Extreme Cardio Fighter. The total burn isn't much different, but there are a lot more minutes of vigorous and the arc is just whacked out compared to the first time. I can't explain it!
