Cize The End of Exercize Day 8: Full Out

Day 8: Full Out

Today was Day 8 of the Advanced Calendar of Cize. It was my first time doing this workout. I was really looking forward to doing a new one! This one was about 34 minute and then had a 3 minute cool down. This one was quite challenging for me! He moved fast and didn't spend as much time teaching the moves. We had already done some of the moves in the first two workouts, but some of the moves were new.

It seemed like there were more moves in this one that were compound moves. These are moves that are taught in two parts. I'm not talking about where you learn the feet and then add the arms. I'm talking about when you learn the first half and then learn the second half so like we did something that I can't remember and then we jumped out feet out and did this move with our arms like were were driving a car. We learned the first part which I can't remember at the moment first and then we learned the driving the car part.

This workout moved fast. My calorie burn was pretty low though because I was pretty much lost for most of the workout. There were steps that made sense to me and other steps that just didn't work for my brain. I know I need to do it more to get better at it, but I have to admit that after about five minutes into this workout, I had all sorts of negative talk going on in my head. I was telling myself that there was no way I was going to get through this workout. I was also saying there was no way I was going to get through the rest of the program if it was this hard on the first day of week two. I fought through it and kept going. I tried to remember the epiphany that I had before about how the people on Dancing With the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance all pretty much suck during their first time with the choreographers, so it's okay if I look like an idiot in my own workout room where no one is watching.

It must have worked, because I got through the workout. It wasn't pretty, but I did it. I described it earlier today as a train wreck. I'm pretty sure that means I have to give myself a 1 for this workout. Maybe I should have done the beginner calendar so I could do the same workout for a week straight. I really wanted to do the four week version of this, but that only gives me three days with each workout and then once more in the final week. I'm going to keep going on the advanced calendar and hope for the best.

I get a new workout tomorrow!

Here are the screen shots from the Polar M400 device that I have. It wasn't a very impressive calorie burn that's for sure.
