Weight Watchers Day 7

Today was Day 7 of Weight Watchers. It was a Sunday so I was off work. I was pretty low on my points so I threw a peanut butter sandwich in again after dinner. I'm still amazed at how I'm low on points on the weekend, but not during the week. Why am I always hungry during the work week, but on the weekend, I don't even want to eat. I don't seem to be eating as many veggies on the weekend and I didn't eat fruit at all today. I need to work on my nutrition a bit. I think I was having a more balanced plan while doing the 21 Day Fix, but I feel a lot less restricted while doing Weight Watchers.

I'm not sure if I'm going to continue doing this posts. It's getting annoying to do the cutting and pasting to make these screen shots. I really wish the app had a better place to show all of this stuff in one spot. I want to like this app since I paid for it, but I'm getting a bit disgruntled with it. I suppose the app isn't that bad if you don't care about posting stuff on your blog about it. It's easy to use and it keeps track of my points. For $1.99, it's a decent app.

I lost a pound this week. I'm a bit disappointed that it was only a pound though. I worked out hard and I was within my points each day. I did eat soup twice though. Salt is just horrible for me. I used to think that it was just bad for the retained water that day, but I'm slowly discovering that it hampers my weight loss for the week. Maybe I'm still retaining some water and I'll drop some more weight in the next couple of days, but I'm still bummed about only a pound. I should be happy that I lost a pound. I should be happy to be so close to the 250s, but I'm bummed.

Weight Watchers Day 6

Day 6 of Weight Watchers went pretty well. I was home and didn't really eat a whole lot. I don't understand why I'm starving at work all day, but when I'm home, I barely eat. I ended up eating a peanut butter sandwich after dinner because the FAQ on Weight Watchers says to eat your daily points, but I was pretty far down on my points. During the week, I was over my points and tapped into my weekly points every day, but on the weekend, I needed to show down at the end of the night to eat all the daily points. I didn't tap into the weekly points or any of my exercise points. Isn't that crazy! So many people talk about derailing on the weekends and I eat less on the weekends!

I did a 52 minute workout today, but I only counted the vigorous minutes of it. I'm not sure if the vigorous minutes translate into Heavy on the app I'm using, so I figure if I round off my non-vigorous minutes, it will balance out. That's my logic at least. We'll see how things go.

Weight Watchers Day 5

Today was Day 5 for Weight Watchers! I went over my points again, but I'm still doing well for the week. All of my weekly points will be used up most likely, but my activity points won't get eaten. Next week will be better. I'm going to come up with a better plan for next week and it will involve more fruits and veggies and less grains. No more bread for breakfast and I'm dropping the peanut butter too. I actually already dropped the peanut butter. I didn't make the best decision for dinner tonight. I had way more tater tots than I should have had, but I'm still within my points for the week, so I'm okay with it.

I got some extra activity at work today! I normally walk around for an hour at work, but it's not an hour straight so I don't count it. Today, I was using the scanner and that means I'm stuck in one spot for like 30 minutes or more. While I'm there, I do side steps. Today, I did them as fast as I could and still maintain my scanning. Normally, it doesn't count as moderate activity, but today it registered as moderate. I did two 30 minute sessions and all of it counted as moderate, so I counted it as light activity. Look at all those exercise points adding up!

Weight Watchers Day 4

I forgot to do my post yesterday on Day 4, so I'm doing it a day late. I went over my points again, but it could have been worse. Hubby made dinner and he forgot to make the rice, so it was just chicken and veggies. His oopsy turned out to be a good thing since rice would have just added to my points. I don't remember being very hungry yesterday. I'm kind of digging this Weight Watchers thing. I'm not sure what's going to happen when I lose weight and don't get as many points though! Today was a rest day, so there aren't any activity points for the day.

Weight Watchers Day 3

Today was Day 3 of Weight Watchers. I've gone over my points each day this week, but I get 49 weekly points to use so as long as I don't go more than 7 points over, I should be fine. This week was more about trying to find out how many points I've been eating and then this weekend I will make adjustments and a solid plan for next week. I really thought that 21 Day Fix and Weight Watchers would jive a bit better, but if I eat all the food that I ate on 21 Day Fix, I'm over on my points. I do have activity points that I can use, but that just seems counter productive. I wasn't very hungry today. I was pretty sore from my workout yesterday though. I had planned on going out to dinner on Monday after the 21 Day Fix was over, but we didn't do that because hubby was sick. We decided to go out tonight. I didn't have many points left over for dinner. I brought my app with me and looked up some foods while I was there. They were estimates though because the restaurant I went to didn't have nutritional content on the menu. I had to just hope that the points were similar to the stuff I looked up. I thought about getting a beef burger, but after looking at the points, I went with a turkey burger. I gave my bacon to my husband and I went with a whole grain bun. I still got the fries, but I did provolone cheese instead of cheddar like I normally would. We skipped dessert too. I still ate my homemade frozen yogurt though. I just realized that I went over by more than 7 points today, but it's still okay because I didn't go 7 over on the previous two days so I think I'm still good for the week. I still have activity points to fall back on!

Weight Watchers Day 2

Today was my second day doing Weight Watchers. I wasn't nearly as hungry today as I was yesterday. I was quite thankful for that! I did better in some places and worse in others. I didn't stay within my 40 points today and I ended up using some weekly points. I played a little more with the app and figured out how to email myself all of my food so it was in one place. I had to crop and edit some stuff though. I went to Safeway to grab some extra veggies for the rest of the week, but the organic section was a bit cleaned out. I'm not really sure what was up, but they didn't have the cucumbers or strawberries that I was hoping for. I was pretty bummed. I guess I'll have to tough it out for a few days! Hopefully yesterday was just an oddity because of it being the first day on the plan and my body wasn't used to all of the cardio. The times aren't exact since I didn't log food as I actually ate it.

Weight Watchers Day 1

Today was my first day with Weight Watchers. I'm doing it on my own with the help of a friend and an app. I don't have the money to spend on the full Weight Watchers program. Today was a bit rough. I was pretty much hungry the whole day. I got used to a certain eating plan while doing 21 Day Fix. I thought that I would be able to eat more food with Weight Watchers than with 21 Day Fix, but I'm finding that the foods that I got used to eating on the 21 Day Fix are kind of high in points. This is going to take a bit of adjusting. I can eat as many veggies and fruits as I want, so there's no excuse to be hungry. I just need to learn to adapt. I'm not too stressed out about the points for the first week though so if I have t go over, I go over. I'm not going to be starving all week though.

I get 40 points per day since I'm a big girl. I get an extra 49 weekly points to use whenever I want throughout the week. My Les Mills Combat workout earned me 8 activity points. I ate over my 40 points for the day, so it came out of my activity points. I don't really want to use up my activity points by eating them since it seems counter productive, but I was hungry! I did have a major win though. After dinner, I was hungry so I ate a cucumber instead of going for peanut butter like I normally eat at night.

The app is really easy to use, but it doesn't have a good screen that I can take a picture of and incorporate into the blog. I will experiment with the different screens and see what shows things the best. I'm learning that there are things that are a bit annoying with the app. For example, this shows 40/40 Daily (0 Left), but I actually used 44.5 and used 4.5 Activity Points.
