Review of Beachbody Les Mills Combat Day 45

What I did and why

Today was Day 45 of Les Mills Combat! I'm 3/4 of the way done! I didn't even realize that I was at another milestone! Woot Woot. I'm doing the Warrior program, so that meant it was Combat 45 Power Kata today! I like this workout!

Power Kata

This was a 45 minute routine. It almost didn't happen because I spent so much time messing with my husband's BodyMedia Link device. I couldn't get his to sync with my phone or his phone. I'm utterly frustrated! I wanted to cry instead of work out. I managed to get his to connect once I put it on, but I never got it paired up with the Bluetooth, so I wasn't able to do the workout screen shot. I hate that!

You can read a full play by play on my post from the first time I did Power Kata on Day 3.

Okay, so the workout! I really like this one. It doesn't really have anything that I dislike and it has stuff that I like. I'm not a huge fan of the insane amount of knee strikes in one section and I can't do the jumping knee strike thing. I can do jump front kicks, but the jump knee strike thing is just a bit difficult for me. I'm not really sure why.

I kept up with pretty much everything they did in this. The only modifications that I remember doing were skipping the jumping. I wouldn't say that my lunges during the lunge kick lunge knee thing were impressive, but they were lunges and I kept up.

I felt good about this workout. I wasn't dragging arse in it. It kicked my butt, but I didn't want to die when it was over. I thought I would be sore from yesterday's workout, but I wasn't. Maybe it was the jumping that gave me the pain and not the burpees. Hmmmmmmmmm. Maybe next time I do Shock Plyo, I'll skimp on the burpees and hit harder on the sumo squats and stuff. Okay getting sidetracked. Today is a short post since I got a book from the library that I really want to finish! It's called Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead. You all so need to read Vampire Academy and the Bloodlines spin off!

BodyMedia Screen Shot

Here is my only screen shot from the workout today.  Check out my calorie burned for the whole day. I'm not really sure what's up with that, but it's my first day using my husband's unit and I magically got up to 2 calories per minute instead of the 1.6 I get for just sitting at my desk doing nothing. This makes me think something is fishy. I'm starting to lose faith in activity monitors and I just want a heart rate monitor! I wonder if there's one that I could wear all day!
