iFit 2 Mile Challenge Limpari, Italy

I did this walk yesterday. It was the last walk I did before I got shingles. I wanted to do two miles before my chiropractor appointment yesterday. I couldn't find any in my scheduled workouts so I just found the last two mile walk I did. If feels like an eternity since I was doing the two mile walks, but it was soon after we moved into the new house and before I got shingles. I can't remember if they hurt when I was doing them before. I'm pretty sure my legs and or feet were going numb.

I was totally running out of time when I got on the treadmill. It was garbage day and I needed to run around the house to empty all the garbage cans so I could get the can outside before I got on the treadmill. Just doing that hurt my pelvis/lower back area. I almost decided to do an easier walk, but I really wanted to do 2 miles to see if I could

Since I was running late, I skipped the warm up and just started the walk slow. I then bumped it up to 2.6 since it started off going downhill. I wasn't sure what I was going to do once it hit the elevation parts, but the plan was to try to pick up some time in the beginning in case I needed to slow the machine down. The downhill wasn't too bad. Once I hit the uphill, I decided to keep the 2.6mph pace since slowing down would have meant more time on the treadmill and I knew I was running late already. The uphill wasn't torture, but it did suck. My calves were killing me for certain parts of this. By the time I was done, I pretty much wanted to die. I felt pretty much like a failure even though I got through it. I feel better now though knowing that I only did this at 2.5 mph the last time.

There's not much to say about the walk since it was one of the slide show type. There wasn't a trainer. It's just a slide show of Google Earth images along a designed route. It was interesting to be inside of a house and walking into a wall at one point. I should have tested out the music track to go with this, but I like to use YouTube since it gives me something to look at instead of the screen.

Oh on a side note, normally I have really great math skills on the treadmill. I can do fractions like you would not believe if I'm on a treadmill. I say stuff like, "I'm one-sixth of the way through!" For some reason, I could not do fractions to save my dang life on this walk. I have no idea why. All math skills were gone. I was also having to give myself a lot of pep talks to keep going. Once I hit the 20 minutes left mark, I was counting down, "less than 20 minutes, less than 19-1/2 minutes, less than 19 minutes, less than 18-1/2 minutes....." That went on until I got to 90 seconds and then it was less than 90 seconds, less than 85 seconds, less than 80 seconds. That kept going until 30 seconds and then it was a full countdown until the end. I could barely walk to the bathroom when I was done! It pretty much sucked. I probably try to do another two mile before my next chiropractor appointment in a week and a half, but I don't think i'll be doing one until the day of the appointment. I just need to find one without much elevation.

The screen shots from both walks are below. The graphs look weird even though there shouldn't be much difference between them.
