Today is Sunday! It's also the Big Game day. Why is it that we can't actually call it what it is? I don't know, but it's football and it's the championship, but the Patriots aren't playing so I really don't care who wins. I say this and then I just pulled up my app to see who was winning. FYI: At this point, it's the Chiefs, but the 49ers have the ball. Okay, so it's Sunday. We slept in! Once I got up, I played a game on my iPad. It's called Best Fiends and I adore this game. Today was the last day to get a costume for one of my fiends so I wanted to make sure I finished that task. Hubby made bacon and eggs for breakfast! It was yummy! I did a few calls for work and got some reading for my COC course done. There was a Pokemon Go Event to catch this cute little mouse Pokemon and it was just a three hour window to catch it. I got a bunch and one was shiny! Woot woot!
When we got home, I knew I needed to get on the treadmill. I had looked ahead and knew that the next scheduled walk was 1.5 miles and I wanted it done today. I got up there and there were two for 1.5! This happens when I don't do a walk every day. It will reschedule the missed walk to the following day. I've got several walks schedule since I'm such a slacker. I picked the wrong one. I was supposed to pick day 5, but I picked day 8. Oh well. I got up there and I walked and that's what matters.
This one started out at a 2% incline and then went to 10% within a few minute, but that 10% was for a very short period of time and they brought the speed down to 2.1MPH for that section. The rest of the walk never went over 2.5%. It was mostly 2.5MPH, but there was a 2.7MPH section. I wasn't thrilled about that. The machine beeped and he said he was going to, but before he finished saying what he was going to do, the machine kicked up from 2.5MPH to 2.7MPH. It doesn't seem like much, but it catches me off guard. It does the same thing when it goes slower. Faster is actually easier to handle than slower. Slower makes me feel like I'm going to fall over. It makes me not want to let go when I walk!
This walk wasn't that bad. My right hamstring felt tight, but my calves didn't hurt like they did yesterday. I held on the whole time, but there were parts where I had my hands down on the low bar. The low bar is when I feel comfortable. The high bar is when I kinda want to die or the incline is intense. The middle is kind of in the middle. I did a lot of the high bar when we were at 2.7MPH. I didn't want to die, but I did feel more stable with my arms up high like that. Tomorrow's walk is only 1.1 miles! Woot woot!
I really was hoping to do more than one walk yesterday and more than one today, but I still have school stuff to work on and work stuff to work on and fun stuff to do. I can make these walks feel like an obligation. I'm having fun with these video ones and there are several more to go, but it's only going to work if it keeps being fun. As soon as I feel like I have to do it, I'll stop doing it. That can't happen. I actually lost weight this week. no idea if that was just water or actual fat, but time will tell!
I hatched two Pokemon Go eggs after the walk. One was a Feebas! Make them stop! The other was a Dwebble. He looks like a hermit crab. I don't have enough candy to evolve him yet so I'm pretty happy to see him!
Alrighty. Time to go do more reading for my class! I have to take the test on 2/22/2020. Hopefully I mass the first time around. I really don't want to have to redo this. Plus, the hospital I work for is going to give me some money if I pass soooooooo I gotta get this done. Maybe I'll be able to get a raise out of it too. Not sure yet since I just got one of those a few months ago.
