iFit 1 Mile Challenge Paris, France

Today, we took the day off from work. Hubby wanted to take it off to work on something and he wanted my help. So far, I haven't helped him much and what I did help with could have been done via text, but it was great sleeping in! He made breakfast. I got some calls done. Later today, we'll be going to town for an orthodontist appointment. I need to get some reading done for my COC course too. We're also going to stop at Best Buy and get the air fryer I keep talking about. Maybe we'll have some air fryer sweet potatoes with dinner! 

I'm hoping to get two walks done today, but I'm not really sure if that's going to happen. If I can convince myself to do it, I'll only have one 1 mile walk left. I'll do that one tomorrow and then take Friday off from walking. We shall see though. The Imperfect Foods box will be here today! 

I only have three walks left so it's not like there is any decision making going on with which one to pic at this point. This was relatively flat. My original plan was to just do 2.5MPH for the whole thing. I just wanted a relaxed pace so I'd be more likely to get a second walk in. Once I got to the one third mark, I decided that I was going to bump up to 2.6MPH and then at two thirds, I'd go up to 2.7MPH. It went pretty well. I wasn't even focusing on how much longer there was, I wasn't sore and I didn't have dead leg so that was good. My husband distracted me with math questions while I was walking. He was working on his resume and was trying to remember some landmark years. That was taxing and could have been part of the reason that I didn't notice the time while I was walking. I should have him talk to me more often. 

I didn't set out to break any records, but I was a few seconds slower on this attempt over my previous attempt at the same walk. I wish I had checked the previous time before! I was so close to being faster. On that one, I did 2.6MPH until the very end when I bumped up to 2.7MPH. I'm not sure what the logic was. maybe I was hoping that last ditch effort would get me under 23 minutes. It didn't work! One of these days, I'll have to go through all of my previous walks to find my mile record and see if I can beat it. 

I turned on Pokemon Go after the walk was over and it showed the hatching animation. I didn't tap it though because I didn't want to know what hatched until I was ready for this paragraph. When I tapped it, nothing happened! OMG. I had to kill the game and go back in, but then I didn't get the fun of watching the egg hatch. It was a seviper. blah. I have another egg that is .4km from hatching and one that's a little under a km left. If those don't hatch while we are out and about, I might be more inspired to get on the treadmill for a second walk!
