iFit 1 Mile Challenge Mangilao, Guam

Today is Sunday! This is my last one of the 1 mile challenge workouts. I did all 30 of them about a year ago, but then I fell off the wagon and had a miserable year filled with sickness and injury. I got back on track around the same time this year as I did last year. Interesting how that worked out. I was supposed to be done with these in the middle of last week, but it didn't happen. This one took two attempts today! The first time I got up to try this, the machine died after 8 minutes! I was doing 2.7MPH because I wanted to see about breaking a record, but that didn't happen. Not sure if it was the speed that was the issue or where I was standing on the machine. I've been trying to force myself to stay up close to the front, but I think I was back a smidge on this one because I was doing longer strides than normal. I was hoping the longer strides would help keep my legs fresher longer, but the machine died so it didn't really matter about my endurance.

I got off the machine and ate lunch. Then I took a test for my COC class. I got an 80. I could have done better, but I didn't have it in me. I'm ready for this class to be over.  Only two chapters left and then the final exam and then I can take my certification test.

The second time I got on the machine, I decided to just got at 2.5MPH because I had eaten recently and I knew my legs would get too sore too fast to get through the whole thing at 2.7MPH. Oh I also wanted to make sure that I got through it without the machine dying.

The last time I did this walk, I only did 2MPH so dropped six minutes off of my previous time! That was exciting. During the cool down, my stomach started to hurt. I cut my cool down to 1-1/2 minutes and then bolted for the bathroom as soon as I hit stop. Not that anyone wanted to hear that, but whatever. I'm not sure if my heat rate monitor needs a new battery or if something is wonky with it. The results look more like an EKG printout.

I hatched a Pokemon Go egg after my first walk, It was a snivy. blah! I didn't hatch anything on my second attempt, but tomorrow, I'll hatch a bunch!
